Week 3 - Pixel Art Tiles


Didn't get as much time to work on the game this week as I would like, but I spent the time I did have creating tiles for the walls and floor of my game. I added a little variety to the floors and created a wall that has a little better detailing then the black boxes I was using previously. 

I'm getting much more confident in creating different looking tiles on my own. However, I feel like my little sample soldier still needs work. I'm starting to explore the idea of hiring an artist to make the original template character and then I feel like I can do a decent job adding accessories and alternative clothing options to match the style of the professional job. My biggest problem is, I can't decide on a style. Should they have proper arms and legs or do they work as little floating bodies?

What do you guys think? What should the Crew Members ultimately look like?
